The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Sven Björk notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of FC Preußen Münster's Adam Mieß. Adam Mieß was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Besiktas's Oliver Ekberg couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 7th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for FC Preußen Münster. Sven Björk struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Adam Mieß didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Besiktas. After a rather tough play, FC Preußen Münster's Nico Kammerer got a free kick in the 14th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Josef Röwe in the 19th minute of play forced Besiktas's goalkeeper Edwin Sundin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th minute, Magnus Kihlman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Josef Westermann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Boris Kozok kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. In the 31st minute, Sven Björk got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Perry Lelke kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in FC Preußen Münster's zone, Oliver Ekberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adam Mieß came out of the goal and Oliver Ekberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Stig Bokelund hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. When Perry Lelke was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 44 minutes had been played. In the 45th match minute, FC Preußen Münster was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Perry Lelke to maneuver through the defense. If Sven Björk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Josef Röwe stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Besiktas's Erik Olsson got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 57 minutes into the match, FC Preußen Münster's goal looked a bit too open when Sven Björk came free, but Adam Mieß reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sven Björk blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adam Mieß having to make a save. In the 63rd minute Josef Röwe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edwin Sundin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stig Bokelund kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. After 65 minutes, Nico Kammerer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Preußen Münster and the Besiktas players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to FC Preußen Münster getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Nico Kammerer hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Besiktas defense, Josef Röwe kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edwin Sundin. The Besiktas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edwin Sundin should have stopped the shot. When Besiktas's Sven Björk in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Preußen Münster's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, FC Preußen Münster's Nico Kammerer got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Oliver Ekberg was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 74th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Veit Süss's late challenge caught a Besiktas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Veit Süss helped the player get up and apologised. After 78 played minutes FC Preußen Münster got a freekick which was hit by Veit Süss. Josef Röwe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Edwin Sundin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sven Björk kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. With his leg Edwin Sundin managed to avoid a goal in the 91stth minute, when FC Preußen Münster's Josef Röwe fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. André Pettersson hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Sven Björk's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adam Mieß read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play.
