İlyas Patlar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kerkko Kananen, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. The audience was convinced that Aappo Tuominen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but İlyas Patlar was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Koisthuhta FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. After some careless play in the Koisthuhta FC defense, Rıfkı Aliyar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mika Arkivuo. The Koisthuhta FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mika Arkivuo should have stopped the shot.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aappo Tuominen made a kick off. Aappo Tuominen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but İlyas Patlar made a huge save. Koisthuhta FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
