The Garanhão do SUL fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ignatius Casasola should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Garanhão do SUL's Ignatius Casasola got control of the ball when Cristoffer Uchiha tried to sneak it across the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, António Gama notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Punua's Olav Suur. Olav Suur was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 35th match minute, Punua was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristoffer Uchiha to maneuver through the defense. Ignatius Casasola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damaso Gotzon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Prospero Santo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Punua's supporters rose to their feet, but Prospero Santo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ignatius Casasola breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edgar Costa to make the kick off. Ignatius Casasola showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damaso Gotzon in the 56th minute of the match. Torcato Rebocho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 61st minute, Cristoffer Uchiha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Garanhão do SUL's Amado Vigário was substituted for António Gama. Garanhão do SUL's Angel Edorta was substituted for Salvador Lousada. Garanhão do SUL made a substitution. Albano Leizarraga replaced Edgar Costa. Damaso Gotzon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Aloísio Garcez fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Garanhão do SUL's protests and gave Aloísio Garcez a yellow card for diving instead. In the 76th minute, Cristoffer Uchiha ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ignatius Casasola was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Ignatius Casasola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristoffer Uchiha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 81 minutes into the match, Punua's goalkeeper Olav Suur had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Albano Leizarraga. In the 82nd minute of the match Garanhão do SUL got a corner. Punua's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cassiano Telinhos ran over to the corner to take the kick. Olav Suur made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Aloísio Garcez sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Cristoffer Uchiha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ignatius Casasola was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. In the 92nd match minute, Punua was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Hug to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 94 minutes, Torcato Rebocho took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Olav Suur to make any attempt to save it.
