Ivan Chiuzbaian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adrián Espadas in the 6th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Adrián Espadas kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ivan Chiuzbaian. That made the score 1-0 in the 10 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Zhao Sen Yang managed to get in a good position for a shot. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s supporters rose to their feet, but Zhao Sen Yang was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dan Wennerqvist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match clock showed 15 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Adrián Espadas sped through Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ivan Chiuzbaian. Ivan Chiuzbaian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adrián Espadas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. İlhami Akyazıcı sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hernan Lano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Ivan Chiuzbaian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hernan Lano who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 26thth minute tested the skills of Ivan Chiuzbaian when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Dan Wennerqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zhao Sen Yang in the 27th minute of play. Dan Wennerqvist came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Zhao Sen Yang. But to his dismay, Zhao Sen Yang quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Dan Wennerqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zhao Sen Yang in the 35th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zhao Sen Yang in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dan Wennerqvist prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee felt a red card was in order, 40 minutes into the game, when Bernardo Di Piazza put in a rough tackle. After 40 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-! The referee gave Soroca F.C. a penalty, 42 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Natalio Mazuste, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Ivan Chiuzbaian. 3-1. In the 45th minute, Norberto Liberato hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- booed when Soroca F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrián Espadas didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Primitivo Grau to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Adrián Espadas came free, but Ivan Chiuzbaian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ivan Chiuzbaian showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adrián Espadas, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. The audience held their breath when İlhami Akyazıcı in the 59th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Dan Wennerqvist's left hand side. Soroca F.C.'s Răzvan Necula was substituted for Adrián Espadas. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hernan Lano in the 64th minute of play forced Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s goalkeeper Ivan Chiuzbaian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 68 minutes, Dan Wennerqvist successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Ivan Chiuzbaian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hernan Lano in the 76th minute of play. İlhami Akyazıcı might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dan Wennerqvist. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. İlhami Akyazıcı ran back to his position shaking his head. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Mugurel Pandele was substituted for İlhami Akyazıcı. 87 minutes into the match, Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Godofredo Quilino came free, but Ivan Chiuzbaian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
