It was Matthew Wagner who took care of the corner kick. 9 minutes had been played when some careless play by Consejo del Mate's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Matthew Wagner was slow to take the kick. During this time PoWer SC 2K5's players had a chance to rest. The corner led PoWer SC 2K5's Matthew Wagner to fire away a dangerous shot which Hugo Orlando Gatti despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 11 played minutes Consejo del Mate got a freekick which was hit by Aquiles Cordero. Patrick Middendorf blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hugo Orlando Gatti having to make a save. 12 minutes into the match, Consejo del Mate's goal looked a bit too open when Patrick Middendorf came free, but Hugo Orlando Gatti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hugo Orlando Gatti made an important save on a dangerous shot by Patrick Middendorf in the 13th minute. David Rotariu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peyo Fonelleda, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. David Rotariu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peyo Fonelleda, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Fagildo Pamanes heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. David Rotariu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julio Kemen in the 37th minute of play. Hugo Orlando Gatti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrick Middendorf, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. With a little luck, Consejo del Mate's Hugo Orlando Gatti got control of the ball when Hector Todor tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Jonas Klinsmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zvonimir Prestin was the one to do the kick off. David Rotariu made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Bolo Bolaño sent off a good shot on target. In the 53rd minute of the game, Bolo Bolaño landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. After 53 minutes, Paul Mertesacker mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the PoWer SC 2K5 and the Consejo del Mate players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to PoWer SC 2K5 getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Paul Mertesacker hit a great ball. Danilo Gomesano might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over David Rotariu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Danilo Gomesano ran back to his position shaking his head. When Fagildo Pamanes came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Consejo del Mate fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fagildo Pamanes couldn't finish the play. Consejo del Mate's Hugo Orlando Gatti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrick Middendorf in the 61st minute of play. With a little luck, PoWer SC 2K5's David Rotariu got control of the ball when Peyo Fonelleda tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 96 minutes, Leroy Kluttig made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Consejo del Mate's Hugo Orlando Gatti tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Consejo del Mate's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
