Independiente's goalkeeper Roque Rexino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 3rd minute, Gervasio Dalmai hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roque Rexino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dário Diniz in the 5th minute of play. When Rolando Victoro fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club A. Independiente's protests and gave Rolando Victoro a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Club A. Independiente getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Rolando Victoro hit a great ball. 8 minutes into the match, Club A. Independiente's goal looked a bit too open when Ricky Koppens came free, but Roque Rexino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Venancio Mirande charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Venancio Mirande the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Roque Rexino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Herminio Florinio in the 10th minute of the match. Roque Rexino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Gallegos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Roque Rexino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dário Diniz, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Roque Rexino dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Dário Diniz scored 0-2 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Roque Rexino, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Roque Rexino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herminio Florinio in the 24th minute of play. After 25 minutes of play, Club Deportivo Águila's Ricky Koppens made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Roque Rexino was left in no man's land by his defense there! Roque Rexino didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dário Diniz went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Dário Diniz took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Roque Rexino. Roque Rexino dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. Club A. Independiente's Roque Rexino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dário Diniz in the 40th minute of play. After 41 minutes of play, Club Deportivo Águila's Ricky Koppens made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Roque Rexino was left in no man's land by his defense there! Roque Rexino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dário Diniz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 48 minutes into the game, Herminio Florinio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-7. Roque Rexino was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-7 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Severino Eneto made the kick off in the second half. Roque Rexino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dário Diniz in the 53rd minute of the match. Club A. Independiente's Roque Rexino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Club A. Independiente from getting a goal against them. In the 56th minute, Ricky Koppens ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Roque Rexino was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-8. Independiente got a freekick which was hit by Venancio Mirande. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dário Diniz got free with Roque Rexino in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 71st minute, Angel Velis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Deportivo Águila fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-11. Dário Diniz's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 74thth minute, Roque Rexino skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Independiente's defense didn't have a chance, in the 85th minute, when Dário Diniz scored to the left of an out of position Roque Rexino, making the score, 0-14. 88 minutes into the game, Club Deportivo Águila's Abdurrezzak Talip nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Roque Rexino made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-15. Roque Rexino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dário Diniz in the 91st minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Club Deportivo Águila's Angel Velis slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Roque Rexino. That made the score 0-16 after 92 minutes of play. In the 95th minute Angel Velis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roque Rexino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Club A. Independiente's defense didn't have a chance, in the 96th minute, when Miguel Gallegos scored to the left of an out of position Roque Rexino, making the score, 0-17. Club Deportivo Águila's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
