In the 17th minute Ramon Pueblo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Virgilio Quentin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Godfredo Erruki got free with Big Hands in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tandil Córdoba Legnano FC's Virgilio Quentin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramon Pueblo in the 23rd minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Tandil Córdoba Legnano FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ramon Pueblo came free, but Virgilio Quentin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 39 minutes, Big Hands successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. BORBOTONES FUTBOL CLUB's defense didn't have a chance, in the 41st minute, when Roberto Eutor scored to the left of an out of position Big Hands, making the score, 2-1. 45 minutes into the match, Ramon Pueblo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Virgilio Quentin. Tandil Córdoba Legnano FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ramon Pueblo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ramon Pueblo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roberto Eutor in the 52nd minute of play forced BORBOTONES FUTBOL CLUB's goalkeeper Big Hands to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 63rd minute Hector Azeari shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Big Hands saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 66 minutes into the match, BORBOTONES FUTBOL CLUB's goal looked a bit too open when Godfredo Erruki came free, but Big Hands reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Virgilio Quentin yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-4. Tandil Córdoba Legnano FC's Joaquin Ur was substituted for Godfredo Erruki. The BORBOTONES FUTBOL CLUB supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing BORBOTONES FUTBOL CLUB would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
