In the 12thth minute of the game Uriel Isias who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vodka Stars 1949's Generoso Beloki was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Erik Véber could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Lázaro Colon made a huge save. Lázaro Colon made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Erik Véber sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Uriel Isias in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Generoso Beloki saved Vodka Stars 1949 from getting behind. Through an outstanding action, after 17 minutes, Lázaro Colon successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Juniors FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Lucas Montaña 18 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. Uriel Isias's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Generoso Beloki read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. Generoso Beloki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicanor Porfirio, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. When the match clock showed 27 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Uriel Isias sped through Vodka Stars 1949's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Generoso Beloki. 31 minutes had been played when some careless play by Vodka Stars 1949's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Wlodzimierz Lepper was slow to take the kick. During this time Juniors FC's players had a chance to rest. Juniors FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 45th minute, when Curcio Alonso scored to the left of an out of position Lázaro Colon, making the score, 3-2. Vodka Stars 1949's Curcio Alonso got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-2 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Uriel Isias to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Uriel Isias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Uriel Isias got free with Generoso Beloki in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paul Geeraerts in the 56th minute of play forced Juniors FC's goalkeeper Lázaro Colon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 59th minute Curcio Alonso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lázaro Colon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juniors FC's Lázaro Colon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Batalla in the 78th minute of play. Enrique Frasco might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Generoso Beloki. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Enrique Frasco ran back to his position shaking his head. 81 minutes into the match, Juniors FC's Enrique Frasco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Generoso Beloki narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Enrique Frasco kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Generoso Beloki. That made the score 3-3 in the 87 minute of play. Vodka Stars 1949 made a substitution. Santos Valladolid replaced Edmundo London. Vodka Stars 1949's Txema Cifuentes was substituted for Casado Castan. 94 minutes into the game, Juniors FC's Enrique Frasco nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Generoso Beloki made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-4. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Juniors FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
