Higino Viveiros's late challenge caught a Vitória StrikerS™'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Higino Viveiros helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Ɍυƒυs™'s Higino Viveiros got a free kick in the 5th minute. After 6 played minutes, Vitória StrikerS™'s Ramiro Ornelas shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Lourenço Velasques came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Vitória StrikerS™ reached it. 12 minutes into the match, Ɍυƒυs™'s Gervásio Lages sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Júlio Lemos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 12 minutes into the match, Gervásio Lages had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Júlio Lemos. Vitória StrikerS™'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gervásio Lages was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. 18 minutes into the game, Renato Castro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ɍυƒυs™'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vitória StrikerS™ the free kick. A collision led to Ɍυƒυs™ getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Renato Castro hit a great ball. Joaquim Nogueira kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Gusmão Leiria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Júlio Lemos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 26 played minutes Vitória StrikerS™ got a freekick which was hit by Aristides Fragoso. A hard shot by Higino Viveiros from long distance, 27 minutes into the match, got Júlio Lemos's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Lourenço Velasques showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquim Nogueira in the 30th minute of the match. 33 minutes had been played when some careless play by Vitória StrikerS™'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Higino Viveiros was slow to take the kick. During this time Ɍυƒυs™'s players had a chance to rest. Renato Castro kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. In the 36th minute, Pedro Mata got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hélio Paião fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lourenço Velasques having to interfere. Aldaír Lucena was shown his second yellow card after 39 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 40th minute, Aldaír Lucena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 44th minute Pedro Mata shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lourenço Velasques saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pedro Mata stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Ɍυƒυs™ booed when Vitória StrikerS™ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Aires didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 55th minute Éder Brites shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Júlio Lemos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vitória StrikerS™'s Joaquim Nogueira got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 76th match minute, Ɍυƒυs™ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gusmão Leiria to maneuver through the defense. In the 85th minute, Albérico Santarém ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lourenço Velasques was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. After some careless play in the Ɍυƒυs™ defense, Albérico Santarém kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lourenço Velasques. The Ɍυƒυs™ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lourenço Velasques should have stopped the shot.
