Placido Matro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adamantios Geronimidis, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 38thth minute of the game Sten Vallman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but C.A. LANUS's Cristian Mergildo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 39th minute ATILA were awarded a corner. Genadi Kotrulev went to the cornerflag to take it. After a rather tough play, C.A. LANUS's Levente Végh got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Cristian Mergildo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sten Vallman, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Sten Vallman made the kick off in the second half. ATILA's Placido Matro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adamantios Geronimidis in the 52nd minute of play. C.A. LANUS's Adamantios Geronimidis got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 62 minutes into the match, ATILA's goalkeeper Placido Matro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adamantios Geronimidis. In the 64th minute Adamantios Geronimidis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Placido Matro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If José Serrizuela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Placido Matro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adamantios Geronimidis in the 67th minute of the match. After 74 played minutes C.A. LANUS got a freekick which was hit by José Serrizuela. After 76 played minutes ATILA got a freekick which was hit by Thomas Kostakos. After some careless play in the C.A. LANUS defense, Genadi Kotrulev kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cristian Mergildo. The C.A. LANUS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristian Mergildo should have stopped the shot. If Sten Vallman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sten Vallman in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristian Mergildo saved C.A. LANUS from getting behind. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
