The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Granate's Jonathan Palmquist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jens Van Dessel in the 2nd minute of play. Jonathan Palmquist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dalmacio Ramirez in the 4th minute of the match. Lev Yashin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luisito Estevon, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. In the 11th minute of the match, Nicanor Pierres tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jonathan Palmquist saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 14 minutes of play, LUPO f.c's Haarald Sauna made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Palmquist was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lev Yashin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaakko Ramstadius in the 18th minute of play. Granate's Jonathan Palmquist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jens Van Dessel in the 20th minute of play. When Jaakko Ramstadius came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Granate fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaakko Ramstadius couldn't finish the play. Jonathan Palmquist stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jens Van Dessel's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. The supporters of LUPO f.c booed when Granate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leukothoe Sakelaris didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 34th match minute, LUPO f.c was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dalmacio Ramirez to maneuver through the defense. 42 minutes had been played when some careless play by LUPO f.c's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Enzo Hermon was slow to take the kick. During this time Granate's players had a chance to rest. In the 44th minute Christos Triantafyllou shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lev Yashin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lev Yashin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luisito Estevon, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Christos Triantafyllou stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Leukothoe Sakelaris received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Lev Yashin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonathan Palmquist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jens Van Dessel in the 56th minute of the match. Christos Triantafyllou's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lev Yashin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. 69 minutes into the game, Jaakko Ramstadius recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lev Yashin. Jaakko Ramstadius showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. After taking down the ball on Granate's corner Christos Triantafyllou fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Lev Yashin quite easily take care of the ball. Lev Yashin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Christos Triantafyllou's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. In the 79th minute, Granate's Jaakko Ramstadius dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Christos Triantafyllou got free with Lev Yashin in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Granate's Luisito Estevon got a free kick in the 88th minute. In the 95th minute Christos Triantafyllou shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lev Yashin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zoel Losantos kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match.
