To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 8 minutes into the match, Leones FC's goal looked a bit too open when Teo Fidensio came free, but Gualterio Inocente reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Federico Xacintu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Filiberto Cresencio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Gualterio Inocente tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Federico Xacintu in the 18th minute of play forced Leones FC's goalkeeper Gualterio Inocente to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rafael Cordarryl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Primitivo Marino in the 19th minute of the match. With a little luck, EL FANTASMA de F. Galtero's Rafael Cordarryl got control of the ball when Melchor Loramendi tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the Leones FC defense, Carmelo Cebo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gualterio Inocente. The Leones FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gualterio Inocente should have stopped the shot. 26 minutes into the match, Leones FC's goal looked a bit too open when Carmelo Cebo came free, but Gualterio Inocente reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Federico Xacintu couldn't finish the play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Galtero's supporters rose to their feet, but Carmelo Cebo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
