In the 13th minute, Vitinho Peixoto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 16th of the match, Vladimir Lara tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Aílton Fernandez got in the way and made a wonderful save. 19 minutes into the match, Vila Nova FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dennis Bergkamp came free, but Fiori Mota reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mete Nareds short, quick shot in the 23rdth minute got Aílton Fernandez to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 24th minute Vila Nova FC were awarded a corner. Rubens Senna went to the cornerflag to take it. Vila Nova FC's Rubens Senna was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Aílton Fernandez in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. A collision led to Agro Imortal getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Oswaldo Bueno hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luca Postelnicescu in the 28th minute of play forced Agro Imortal's goalkeeper Aílton Fernandez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 30 minutes into the match, Agro Imortal's goalkeeper Aílton Fernandez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mete Nared. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dennis Bergkamp in the 32nd minute of play forced Vila Nova FC's goalkeeper Fiori Mota to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fiori Mota showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dennis Bergkamp in the 34th minute of the match. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Aílton Fernandez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vladimir Lara in the 52nd minute of play. Aílton Fernandez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mete Nared in the 54th minute of the match. Agro Imortal's Valério Veiga managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Bálint Kerekes in the 58 minute of the game. In the 60th minute of the match, Hector Sarmiento got a very nice opportunity to score, but Fiori Mota was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The corner led to Agro Imortal's Vitinho Peixoto getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. In the 66th minute, Valdir de Amorim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mete Nared in the 76th minute of play forced Agro Imortal's goalkeeper Aílton Fernandez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aílton Fernandez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mete Nared, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Vladimir Lara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aílton Fernandez having to interfere. 85 minutes into the match, Vila Nova FC's goalkeeper Fiori Mota had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emílio Teixeira. Agro Imortal's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Valdir de Amorim in the 86th minute. A nice corner shot did that Emílio Teixeira got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Fiori Mota quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After some careless play in the Agro Imortal defense, Luca Postelnicescu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aílton Fernandez. The Agro Imortal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aílton Fernandez should have stopped the shot. Vila Nova FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
