Ilie Grecescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilton de Amaral in the 9th minute of play. Karaboudjan's Jefferson do Vale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Natanael Mesquita in the 13th minute of play. With 15 minutes on the clock, Chico Ramos commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 15 minutes into the game, one of Karaboudjan:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 21 minutes into the match, Fireball Esporte Clube's Cido de Carvalho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jefferson do Vale narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ilie Grecescu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Antony Donnelly went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The Fireball Esporte Clube fans' excitement grew in the 27th match minute when Fireball Esporte Clube's Cido de Carvalho looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Filomeno Nicholas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Ilie Grecescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 35 minutes, Natanael Mesquita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fireball Esporte Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Natanael Mesquita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jefferson do Vale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Natanael Mesquita, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Natanael Mesquita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jefferson do Vale having to interfere. Ilie Grecescu made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Antony Donnelly sent off a good shot on target. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Natanael Mesquita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cido de Carvalho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 54th minute, Elivélton Abreu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fireball Esporte Clube's Hernani Massa got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Evaristo Tolino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 63 played minutes Fireball Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Erik de Mendonça. Cido de Carvalho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jefferson do Vale read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. Antony Donnelly scored 2-2 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ilie Grecescu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Evaristo Tolino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zé Augusto Brasil kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. 75 minutes into the match, Karaboudjan's goalkeeper Jefferson do Vale had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Natanael Mesquita. Zé Augusto Brasil hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. A collision led to Fireball Esporte Clube getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Ognyan Altúparmakov hit a great ball. When Erik de Mendonça fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fireball Esporte Clube's protests and gave Erik de Mendonça a yellow card for diving instead. Fireball Esporte Clube's Ilie Grecescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filomeno Nicholas in the 86th minute of play. Natanael Mesquita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Jefferson do Vale made a huge save. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
