Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luís Paulo França in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Perivaldo Moreira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Perivaldo Moreira was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Adriano Soares showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 22 minute of play. Perivaldo Moreira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Freitas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 32nd minute, Délio Souza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Evaristo Arósio's late challenge caught a TAQUARI FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Evaristo Arósio helped the player get up and apologised. In the 52nd minute, Evaristo Arósio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Durvalino de Amaral took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 52nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Perivaldo Moreira. MARINUS MZC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. MARINUS MZC were furious when Vítor de Senna was red carded, 56 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 55th minute of the game. One of MARINUS MZC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of TAQUARI FC:s goal.
