The CE LAJEADENSE RS fans' excitement grew in the 14th match minute when CE LAJEADENSE RS's Glauco Paranaense looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 18th minute, Glauco Paranaense made a precise shot to the right of Rômulo Sampaio. SAO JOANENSE FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luís de Lara during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 0-5 became the score in the 29th minute when Glauco Paranaense elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 33rd minute, Glauco Paranaense made a precise shot to the right of Rômulo Sampaio. SAO JOANENSE FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-6. In the 39th minute, Glauco Paranaense ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rômulo Sampaio was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. Rômulo Sampaio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. CE LAJEADENSE RS's Oséas Miranda shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 66th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Rômulo Sampaio but with some difficulty. Eliézer Ramos charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eliézer Ramos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Glauco Paranaense put it in 1-11 from a short distance just to the right of Rômulo Sampaio. 75 minutes into the match, CE LAJEADENSE RS's goal looked a bit too open when João Augusto Messias came free, but Lauro Linhares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 77 minutes into the game, when Marcinho das Neves put in a rough tackle. After 76 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for CE LAJEADENSE RS! Wiliam Matorin kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Glauco Paranaense took a quick shot and it went in 2-12 without a chance for Rômulo Sampaio to make any attempt to save it. After a rather tough play, SAO JOANENSE FC's Gugu da Fonseca got a free kick in the 86th minute. The supporters of CE LAJEADENSE RS booed when SAO JOANENSE FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baltazar Lago didn't get a good kick on the ball. SAO JOANENSE FC's Rômulo Sampaio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save SAO JOANENSE FC from getting a goal against them. In the 94th match minute, SAO JOANENSE FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gugu da Fonseca to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in SAO JOANENSE FC's zone, Oséas Miranda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rômulo Sampaio came out of the goal and Oséas Miranda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. CE LAJEADENSE RS walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
