In the 5th minute of the match Natanael Pinheiro shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcinho Fonseca showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 6 minutes, Almir Damião put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Lauro Linhares. After 11 played minutes CE LAJEADENSE RS got a freekick which was hit by Marcinho das Neves. After a rather tough play, CE LAJEADENSE RS's Carlos Netto got a free kick in the 13th minute. Glauco Paranaense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Marcinho Fonseca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. CE LAJEADENSE RS's Lauro Linhares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Lima in the 19th minute of play. After 20 minutes, Almir Damião made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. CE LAJEADENSE RS's Lauro Linhares tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Lauro Linhares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Lima, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. CE LAJEADENSE RS's Lauro Linhares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felippe Zanette in the 32nd minute of play. In the 39th match minute, Mamutes EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felippe Zanette to maneuver through the defense. 42 minutes into the game, Luís de Lara recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marcinho Fonseca. Luís de Lara showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. Thanks to some nice moves Glauco Paranaense could shoot a difficult shot in the 45th minute, which Marcinho Fonseca however easily saved by the left post. In the 46th minute, Giovanni Porto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 47 played minutes, CE LAJEADENSE RS's Cléber de Souza shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Marcinho Fonseca came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in CE LAJEADENSE RS reached it. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Glauco Paranaense to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to CE LAJEADENSE RS getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Cléber de Souza hit a great ball. Luís de Lara hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Almir Damião kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Lauro Linhares. That made the score 2-3 in the 63 minute of play. Marcinho Fonseca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Glauco Paranaense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcinho Fonseca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís de Lara, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Almir Damião in the 75th minute of play forced CE LAJEADENSE RS's goalkeeper Lauro Linhares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cléber de Souza got his second yellow card in the match during the 75th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to CE LAJEADENSE RS getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Cléber de Souza hit a great ball. Felippe Zanette hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. In the 78th minute of the match Oséas Miranda shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcinho Fonseca showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Glauco Paranaense kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Marcinho das Neves's late challenge caught a Mamutes EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcinho das Neves helped the player get up and apologised. After 88 played minutes CE LAJEADENSE RS got a freekick which was hit by Marcinho das Neves. Felippe Zanette recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mamutes EC's Marcinho Fonseca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís de Lara in the 93rd minute of play. Marcinho Fonseca came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by CE LAJEADENSE RS's Luís de Lara. But to his dismay, Luís de Lara quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-4. When the final whistle sounded Mamutes EC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than CE LAJEADENSE RS.
