The referee showed Wilfredo Playo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Federico Matia might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tobias Romo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Federico Matia ran back to his position shaking his head. Tomás Osoro hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. A collision led to Wheelwright FC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. In the 54th minute of the match Marucho FC got a corner. Wheelwright FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Horacio Ferrer ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Horacio Ferrer almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Wheelwright FC's Edgardo Paz did a great save. After a defensive mix-up in Wheelwright FC's zone, Isaias Raulo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgardo Paz came out of the goal and Isaias Raulo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Isaias Raulo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Edgardo Paz made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Wheelwright FC's zone, Claudio Jago stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgardo Paz came out of the goal and Claudio Jago tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 70 minutes Marucho FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Benjamin Cordarin who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Benjamin Cordarin almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Marucho FC's Tobias Romo did a great save. Ariel Erruki's late challenge caught a Marucho FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ariel Erruki helped the player get up and apologised. After 76 played minutes Wheelwright FC got a freekick which was hit by Fernan Umea. Claudio Jago fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgardo Paz having to interfere. A collision led to Wheelwright FC getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Candido Quin hit a great ball. Edgardo Paz was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Horacio Ferrer. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Candido Quin during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Wheelwright FC's Candido Quin got a free kick in the 90th minute. When Wheelwright FC's Luisito Errolan in the 94th minute got a chance for a shot 94th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Marucho FC's goalie prevented a goal. The Marucho FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Marucho FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
