Toby Dransfield started the match with the kick off. When Den Hardwick came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Lisburn Distillery F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Den Hardwick couldn't finish the play. Wladyslaw Czermak hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Igor Sanchez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Den Hardwick received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Ryszard Kempski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wladyslaw Czermak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ryszard Kempski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Den Hardwick in the 22nd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Toby Dransfield's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ryszard Kempski was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Bobby Connell took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ryszard Kempski. Ryszard Kempski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Bobby Connell's late challenge caught a FC Lupus's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bobby Connell helped the player get up and apologised. Lisburn Distillery F.C.'s Paul Ahlbom played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wladyslaw Czermak in the 33rd minute of play. In the 34th minute of the match, Wladyslaw Czermak got a very nice opportunity to score, but Paul Ahlbom was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Ryszard Kempski came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Lisburn Distillery F.C.'s Cezary Gdowik. But to his dismay, Cezary Gdowik quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 43rd minute, Toby Dransfield made a precise shot to the right of Ryszard Kempski. FC Lupus's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. With a little luck, Lisburn Distillery F.C.'s Paul Ahlbom got control of the ball when Wladyslaw Czermak tried to sneak it across the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kajetan Dobrzechowski to strike the kick off in the second half. Paul Ahlbom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kajetan Dobrzechowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 68 minutes into the match, FC Lupus's goalkeeper Ryszard Kempski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Toby Dransfield. The supporters of Lisburn Distillery F.C. booed when FC Lupus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leon Zdrojowy didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ryszard Kempski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Den Hardwick, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Cezary Gdowik kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. In the 95th minute Toby Dransfield shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ryszard Kempski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Lisburn Distillery F.C. supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Lisburn Distillery F.C. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
