Herb Good made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Derek Findley in the 19th minute of play. Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Herb Good played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vinnie Talbot in the 21st minute of play. In the 32nd match minute, Lisburn Distillery F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eddie Wittingham to maneuver through the defense. Lisburn Distillery F.C.'s Adrian Ruddock couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 96th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Sport Lisboa e Benfica. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Lisburn Distillery F.C. were victorious despite being under pressure from Sport Lisboa e Benfica for much of the match.
