Marcelo Chuan might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Herb Good. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcelo Chuan ran back to his position shaking his head. 4 minutes into the match, Sport Lisboa e Benfica's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelo Chuan came free, but Herb Good reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 6th match minute, Sport Lisboa e Benfica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Collin Grimm to maneuver through the defense. Marcelo Chuan scored 1-0 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Herb Good, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcelo Chuan in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Herb Good prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fashions del Averno were awarded a corner in the 15th minute after Sport Lisboa e Benfica's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Hernan Laurendi took the corner. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jean Britton in the 22nd minute of play forced Fashions del Averno's goalkeeper Gianluca Kán to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Marcelo Chuan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Herb Good got control of the ball when Marcelo Chuan tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 28th minute Jean Britton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gianluca Kán saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelo Chuan in the 30th minute of play forced Sport Lisboa e Benfica's goalkeeper Herb Good to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Antony Lofton got a free kick in the 32nd minute. In the 36th minute, Marcelo Chuan made a precise shot to the right of Herb Good. Sport Lisboa e Benfica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. In the 38th match minute, Fashions del Averno was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabrizio Spadoni to maneuver through the defense. Marcelo Chuan charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marcelo Chuan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 47th minute, Marcelo Chuan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jean Britton made a kick off. Jean Brittons short, quick shot in the 52ndth minute got Gianluca Kán to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Marcelo Chuan might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Herb Good. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcelo Chuan ran back to his position shaking his head. Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Herb Good played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelo Chuan in the 58th minute of play. Gianluca Kán took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jean Britton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 63 minutes of play, Fashions del Averno's Marcelo Chuan made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Herb Good was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 69 minutes, Marcelo Chuan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fashions del Averno's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcelo Chuan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fashions del Averno's Ingmar Eltmaa was substituted for Marcelo Chuan. A collision led to Sport Lisboa e Benfica getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Antony Lofton hit a great ball. Herb Good made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ingmar Eltmaa in the 76th minute of play. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fashions del Averno's goalkeeper Gianluca Kán, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Antony Lofton managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Hernan Laurendi in the 83 minute of the game. Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Trey Easley got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Ingmar Eltmaa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Herb Good was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. In the 92nd minute Du Lei Bin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gianluca Kán saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the last second Gianluca Kán throw himself and got hold of the ball when Du Lei Bin in the 92ndth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. For all the effort they put into the match, the Sport Lisboa e Benfica players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Fashions del Averno.
