Luiz Guilherme Paiva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Figueira SC FSCMZ's zone, Renato Saldanha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcelo Medeiros came out of the goal and Renato Saldanha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luiz Guilherme Paiva's late challenge caught a Seterma Tractors's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luiz Guilherme Paiva helped the player get up and apologised. Luiz Guilherme Paiva hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Evandro do Valle could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Túlio de Toledo made a huge save. 43 minutes into the match, Seterma Tractors's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Guilherme Paiva came free, but Túlio de Toledo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. José Paulo Guerra was the one to do the kick off. After 57 played minutes Seterma Tractors got a freekick which was hit by Renato Saldanha. Luiz Guilherme Paiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Evaristo Meira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Túlio de Toledo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Evaristo Meira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Túlio de Toledo having to interfere. Seterma Tractors's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Figueira SC FSCMZ the free kick. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Figueira SC FSCMZ had played much better football throughout.
