In the 20th minute Atlético de Crisal were awarded a corner. Jailson Palmeira went to the cornerflag to take it. Atlético de Crisal's Jailson Palmeira was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Valdo Catarinense in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Atlético de Crisal's Dede Vital quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Cláudio Couto, made in the 26th minute of the game. Alex Alves struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Valdo Catarinense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atlético de Crisal. Elivélton Aguiar's late challenge caught a SORRISO E. C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elivélton Aguiar helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Atlético de Crisal getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Elivélton Aguiar hit a great ball. Vítor Sousa, 32 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After having played for 33 minutes, Marcus Gomes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético de Crisal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcus Gomes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 35 minutes into the game, Alex Alves cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Valdo Catarinense was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 38th minute, Marcus Gomes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 44 minutes had been played when some careless play by Atlético de Crisal's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Vítor Sousa was slow to take the kick. During this time SORRISO E. C.'s players had a chance to rest. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alex Alves was the one to do the kick off. Cláudio Couto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Pedrão Souto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 52nd minute, Alberto Mendonça ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pedrão Souto was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedrão Souto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alberto Mendonça in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedrão Souto saved Atlético de Crisal from getting behind. In the 84thth minute of the game Alberto Mendonça who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atlético de Crisal's Pedrão Souto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 85th match minute, Atlético de Crisal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Alves to maneuver through the defense. After 88 minutes, Alex Alves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atlético de Crisal and the SORRISO E. C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Atlético de Crisal's Alex Alves got a free kick in the 88th minute. The audience was convinced that Alberto Mendonça's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedrão Souto was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. SORRISO E. C. were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Atlético de Crisal for a fine match.
