Emanuel Branco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Walmir Dias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Chico de Toledo during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Chico de Toledo hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. After 18 played minutes Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ® got a freekick which was hit by Róbson Sergipano. Walmir Dias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulinho Fonseca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st minute of the match Jovens Democratas MZC got a corner. Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jeferson Santana ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 24th minute Célio de Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Walmir Dias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marquinhos Diniz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafa Coutinho in the 28th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the match, Emanuel Branco dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Walmir Dias, 1-0. Paulinho Fonseca might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Walmir Dias. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paulinho Fonseca ran back to his position shaking his head. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Paulinho Fonseca made the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute of the match, Adrianinho Furtado tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Marquinhos Diniz saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 58th minute Emanuel Branco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Walmir Dias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Rafa Coutinho fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®'s protests and gave Rafa Coutinho a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Jovens Democratas MZC booed when Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ® was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafa Coutinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Walmir Dias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Branco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Claudinei Salles kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Jovens Democratas MZC had won after a very even match.
