Aras Sophian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kerry Sellers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kranji Crunchy's Gofar Pohan managed to work through C. A. Independiente's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Gofar Pohan dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Jojon Sopandi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Farid Mondragón tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 30th minute, Jão Cancelo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aras Sophian showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kerry Sellers, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Aras Sophian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sid Chadwick, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 36th minute, Gofar Pohan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aras Sophian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sid Chadwick in the 41st minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kerry Sellers made a kick off. If Gofar Pohan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 55 minutes into the match, Kranji Crunchy's goalkeeper Aras Sophian had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Gustafson. C. A. Independiente were awarded a corner in the 57th minute after Kranji Crunchy's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Eric Snowden took the corner. The corner ended in Alfredo Felder almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Kranji Crunchy's Aras Sophian did a great save. Sid Chadwick could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Aras Sophian made a huge save. The supporters of Kranji Crunchy booed when C. A. Independiente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ryszard Prusinowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kranji Crunchy's Jojon Sopandi got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Independiente's Farid Mondragón played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jojon Sopandi in the 75th minute of play. After taking down the ball on Kranji Crunchy's corner Filip Barbosu fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Farid Mondragón quite easily take care of the ball. Qiu Fan Ran tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Farid Mondragón. An unnecessary self made goal, 1-1 in the 84th minute.
