In the 11th minute of the match Club Atletico Los Andes got a corner. Sportivo Loren-Delfrajo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tomáš Lamačka ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Club Atletico Los Andes's corner Tomáš Lamačka fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Aníbal Berger quite easily take care of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kim Lekberg in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aníbal Berger prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 36 minutes into the match, Carlos Alberto Nebbia notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Club Atletico Los Andes's Dochko Rodev. Dochko Rodev was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 42nd minute, Kaj Skager hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Donato Gonzalez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Dochko Rodev made a huge save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

After a rather tough play, Club Atletico Los Andes's Donald Trump got a free kick in the 55th minute.
