Kazimierz Podolski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerry Fristedt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kazimierz Podolski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jerry Fristedt in the 12th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jerry Fristedt in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kazimierz Podolski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pawel Korytkowski hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. In the 16th minute of the match Jerry Fristedt shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kazimierz Podolski showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. VfL Wolfsburg were awarded a corner in the 17th minute after Galaxy Team U18's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jerry Fristedt took the corner. In the 20th minute, Patrick Albom got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 29 minutes into the match, Jerry Fristedt had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kazimierz Podolski. Galaxy Team U18's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jerry Fristedt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Przemyslaw Zahemski made in the 33rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Aureliusz Mietus however managed to control. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jerry Fristedt in the 36th minute of play forced Galaxy Team U18's goalkeeper Kazimierz Podolski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th match minute, Galaxy Team U18 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marek Skoroda to maneuver through the defense. In the 43rd minute Aureliusz Mietus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olle Tunander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alfons Delin during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leonard Furgat stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Kazimierz Podolski was a little too slow when Patrick Albom got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 50th minute. The score was now 0-5. In the 53rd minute, VfL Wolfsburg's Jerry Fristedt ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Kazimierz Podolski. Kazimierz Podolski yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-6. In the 58th minute, Przemyslaw Zahemski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jacek Witek made in the 60th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Aureliusz Mietus. Marek Skoroda kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Kazimierz Podolski was out of position in the 67 minute of play, and Patrick Albom capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Patrick Albom really showed his touch with that goal: 0-7. After 77 played minutes VfL Wolfsburg got a freekick which was hit by Kim Torstensson. Galaxy Team U18's Ulryk Konopka was substituted for Marcin Smuskiewicz. After a rather tough play, VfL Wolfsburg's Kim Torstensson got a free kick in the 79th minute. With a left leg Kazimierz Podolski saved Galaxy Team U18 from getting behind. After 94 played minutes Galaxy Team U18 got a freekick which was hit by Wasyl Dubiel. When the final whistle sounded VfL Wolfsburg left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Galaxy Team U18.
