After some careless play in the Icoara Football Club defense, Adrian Mutu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Durval Guerra. The Icoara Football Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Durval Guerra should have stopped the shot. 11 minutes into the game, Adrian Mutu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Durval Guerra was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Durval Guerra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adrian Mutu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15thth minute of the game Adrian Mutu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Icoara Football Club's Durval Guerra was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Durval Guerra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adrian Mutu, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Adrian Mutu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Durval Guerra read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. Adrian Mutu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Durval Guerra having to make a save. Durval Guerra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adrian Mutu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Icoara Football Club's Durval Guerra got control of the ball when Adrian Mutu tried to sneak it across the goal line. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Durval Guerra. Adrian Mutu took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Durval Guerra. Durval Guerra dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 7-0 at half-time.

After a defensive mix-up in Icoara Football Club's zone, Adrian Mutu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Durval Guerra came out of the goal and Adrian Mutu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Adrian Mutu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Durval Guerra read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play.
