The referee ignored Cestarolli FC's protests and gave Ricardo Cestarolli a yellow card for diving instead. Ricardo Cestarolli kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Hélder Vinhas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hermengildo Nesor's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. Cestarolli FC's Hélder Vinhas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Cestarolli FC from getting a goal against them. Cestarolli FC's Hélder Vinhas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hermengildo Nesor in the 9th minute of play. After 21 minutes of play, Winthont FC's Hermengildo Nesor made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hélder Vinhas was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 24th minute, Hermengildo Nesor made a precise shot to the right of Hélder Vinhas. Cestarolli FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Neno Cestarolli's late challenge caught a Winthont FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Neno Cestarolli helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Cestarolli FC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Neno Cestarolli hit a great ball. Hermengildo Nesor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The Winthont FC fans' excitement grew in the 33rd match minute when Winthont FC's Marc van Nistelrooij looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Hélder Vinhas was a little too slow when Hermengildo Nesor got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 36th minute. The score was now 4-0. 39 minutes into the match, Cestarolli FC's goalkeeper Hélder Vinhas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marc van Nistelrooij. Hermengildo Nesor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hermengildo Nesor couldn't finish the play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marc van Nistelrooij made a kick off. Hélder Vinhas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hermengildo Nesor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 61 minutes into the match, Winthont FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tiaguinho Cestarolli came free, but Dennis Beerthuis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
