Juan Ochagavia started the match with the kick off. In the 8th minute, Alex Catoni reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Aztore Sarantes. The goal made the score 1-0. Aztore Sarantes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cornelio Uriondo went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. 15 minutes into the match, Lucio Jose María Cáceres notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of El Pinar's Aztore Sarantes. Aztore Sarantes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Elizardo Arzube fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Baquedano having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Juan Ochagavia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aztore Sarantes was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Lucio Jose María Cáceres did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 4-0 to the left of a surprised Aztore Sarantes 23 minutes into the match. In the 40th minute, Jose Manuel Legrand made a precise shot to the right of Aztore Sarantes. El Pinar's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. Aztore Sarantes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Ochagavia, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. El Pinar's Aztore Sarantes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to save El Pinar from getting a goal against them. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Elizardo Arzube stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Christian Baquedano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fulgencio Lazaeta in the 54th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, El Pinar's Elizardo Arzube got a free kick in the 56th minute. Aztore Sarantes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Ochagavia in the 57th minute of play. A collision led to El Pinar getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Zarando Dolmos hit a great ball. PELOTEROS 8°B 2003 FC's Lucio Jose María Cáceres got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. El Pinar's Aztore Sarantes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucio Jose María Cáceres in the 68th minute of play. Rosario Encalada received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Christian Baquedano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elizardo Arzube got free with Christian Baquedano in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 83rd minute, Jacinto Gutiérrez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the El Pinar defense, Lucio Jose María Cáceres kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aztore Sarantes. The El Pinar fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aztore Sarantes should have stopped the shot. For all the effort they put into the match, the El Pinar players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for PELOTEROS 8°B 2003 FC.
