Spectators: 170 (Terracing: 128, Seating: 39, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Elpidio Chayo started the match with the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elpidio Chayo got free with Marian Podgoreanu in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgilio Guerau in the 6th minute of play forced FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's goalkeeper Marian Podgoreanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elpidio Chayo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Marian Podgoreanu made a huge save. In the 15th minute of the match, Virgilio Guerau tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Marian Podgoreanu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 21 minutes into the match, Águilas Poblanas's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuel Finteșteanu came free, but Fabricio Stephen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fabricio Stephen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alin Agud went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Fabricio Stephen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tudor Bărbânță, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fabricio Stephen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tudor Bărbânță, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Elpidio Chayo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marian Podgoreanu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. After some careless play in the Águilas Poblanas defense, Tudor Bărbânță kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fabricio Stephen. The Águilas Poblanas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fabricio Stephen should have stopped the shot. Elpidio Chayo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marian Podgoreanu having to interfere. Marian Podgoreanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virgilio Guerau, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. 44 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Benicio Palben was slow to take the kick. During this time Águilas Poblanas's players had a chance to rest. A collision led to Águilas Poblanas getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Timoteo Elija hit a great ball. Sabin Bălcescu kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After the first half FC UNIREA Alba Iulia were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tudor Bărbânță made a kick off. 57 minutes into the match, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's goal looked a bit too open when Elpidio Chayo came free, but Marian Podgoreanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tudor Bărbânță blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fabricio Stephen having to make a save. In the 64th minute, Tudor Bărbânță ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fabricio Stephen was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. After 69 played minutes Águilas Poblanas got a freekick which was hit by Roberto Mateus. The supporters of FC UNIREA Alba Iulia booed when Águilas Poblanas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sergio Arano didn't get a good kick on the ball. 73 minutes into the match, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's goal looked a bit too open when Virgilio Guerau came free, but Marian Podgoreanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Florin Astafiei got a free kick in the 77th minute. Cornel Câmpeanu kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Marian Podgoreanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Virgilio Guerau in the 86th minute of the match. When the match was over FC UNIREA Alba Iulia could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Águilas Poblanas throughout the match.
