The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 played minutes Cambridge Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Luís Paulo Correia. Godfredo Cordarin might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Juninho Urbano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Godfredo Cordarin ran back to his position shaking his head. Juninho Urbano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damian Valente in the 9th minute of the match. A collision led to Naboonga OFF getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Silvio Txerran hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vladimiro Costante got free with Juninho Urbano in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Juninho Urbano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Godfredo Cordarin in the 14th minute. David Ondino took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Juninho Urbano. Juninho Urbano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. After some careless play in the Naboonga OFF defense, Elivélton Aparecido kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amancio Dominguez. The Naboonga OFF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amancio Dominguez should have stopped the shot. Amancio Dominguez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Elivélton Aparecido went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. 24 minutes into the match, Naboonga OFF's goal looked a bit too open when Kléber Rodrigues came free, but Amancio Dominguez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amancio Dominguez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kléber Rodrigues in the 29th minute of the match. In the 29th match minute, Naboonga OFF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Ondino to maneuver through the defense. 33 minutes into the game, Cambridge Esporte Clube's Elivélton Aparecido nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Amancio Dominguez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. The supporters of Naboonga OFF booed when Cambridge Esporte Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kléber Rodrigues didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44th minute, Jonatan Montes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Amancio Dominguez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kléber Rodrigues in the 46th minute of play. Vladimiro Costante's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Juninho Urbano - 2-7 was put on the score board in the 85th minute. When João Vítor de Toledo fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cambridge Esporte Clube's protests and gave João Vítor de Toledo a yellow card for diving instead. Cambridge Esporte Clube played a much better game than Naboonga OFF and deserved their victory. The Naboonga OFF players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
