The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd minute of the game, Carlos Alberto Leal landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Rikard Smefeldt's late challenge caught a Belo Academy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rikard Smefeldt helped the player get up and apologised. Belo Academy made a substitution. Vágner Palmeira replaced Carlos Alberto Leal. Rikard Smefeldt hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Erland Söderberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vágner Palmeira in the 6th minute of the match. After 7 played minutes Belo Academy got a freekick which was hit by Alfredão Carvalho. 11 minutes into the match, Belo Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Andrievs Žuromskis came free, but Paulo Renato Dracena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 12 minutes had been played when some careless play by Belo Academy's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joakim Biörk was slow to take the kick. During this time Fomac FK's players had a chance to rest. A collision led to Belo Academy getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. 毛风振 hit a great ball. The supporters of Belo Academy booed when Fomac FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Peder Rolfsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrievs Žuromskis in the 29th minute of play forced Belo Academy's goalkeeper Paulo Renato Dracena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th minute Fomac FK were awarded a corner. Joakim Biörk went to the cornerflag to take it. Fomac FK's Erland Söderberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vágner Palmeira in the 33rd minute of play. Erland Söderberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ferenc Szántó, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 38 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Belo Academy! When the match had been going on for 39 minutes, Fomac FK's Peder Rolfsson got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Paulo Renato Dracena. Erland Söderberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ferenc Szántó in the 42nd minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Peder Rolfsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Peder Rolfsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Renato Dracena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joakim Biörk recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 77th minute Ferenc Szántó shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erland Söderberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 78 minutes, Peder Rolfsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fomac FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Peder Rolfsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Fomac FK getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Claes Hellgren hit a great ball. Lindar Månsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joakim Biörk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Renato Dracena having to interfere. Erland Söderberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ferenc Szántó in the 90th minute of the match. Cristian Vinhas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Erland Söderberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Fomac FK had played much better football throughout.
