Thomas Sørensen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mehmet Fatih Özsen in the 31st minute of the match. When Ahmet Baki Ergünay fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kulp's protests and gave Ahmet Baki Ergünay a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of FC Grivata booed when Kulp was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmet Baki Ergünay didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lyuben Dimiev made a kick off. After 52 minutes, Lyuben Vetov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Grivata and the Kulp players grew even worse after the yellow card. But to his dismay, Lyuben Dimiev quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. After a rather tough play, FC Grivata's Tzvetoslav Serdev got a free kick in the 96th minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. FC Grivata had won after a very even match.
