Canalla Fuego were furious when Wilfredo Astudillo was red carded, 8 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 7th minute, one of Canalla Fuego:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Canalla Fuego. 14 minutes into the match, Canalla Fuego's goal looked a bit too open when Ermengol Cabrales came free, but Salvador Bahia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Canalla Fuego's Salvador Bahia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pepe Popeye in the 15th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Pepe Popeye had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Salvador Bahia. Canalla Fuego's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pepe Popeye was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. If Ermengol Cabrales had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 22 minutes into the match, Canalla Fuego's goal looked a bit too open when Pepe Popeye came free, but Salvador Bahia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th minute Bento Arberas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Salvador Bahia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Salvador Bahia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Virila Parra's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. After having played for 29 minutes, Virila Parra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CD Municipal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Virila Parra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Salvador Bahia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pepe Popeye in the 34th minute of play. Salvador Bahia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Virila Parra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Salvador Bahia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ermengol Cabrales went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Esteban Cristofor's late challenge caught a CD Municipal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Esteban Cristofor helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Canalla Fuego's Esteban Cristofor got a free kick in the 42nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Virila Parra managed to get in a good position for a shot. CD Municipal's supporters rose to their feet, but Virila Parra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Salvador Bahia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tobias Argoitz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ramón Gayday received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Salvador Bahia came out and tried to block the shot, but Ramón Gayday slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 51st minute. Salvador Bahia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virila Parra in the 54th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Virila Parra in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Salvador Bahia saved Canalla Fuego from getting behind. If Tobias Argoitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 61 minutes into the game, Anacleto Uzuri was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Canalla Fuego's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CD Municipal the free kick. Anacleto Uzuri kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pepe Popeye in the 65th minute of play forced Canalla Fuego's goalkeeper Salvador Bahia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Canalla Fuego's Salvador Bahia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Canalla Fuego from getting a goal against them. Salvador Bahia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pepe Popeye, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. After some careless play in the Canalla Fuego defense, Virila Parra kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Salvador Bahia. The Canalla Fuego fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Salvador Bahia should have stopped the shot. Ermengol Cabrales succeeded in the game's 75th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-8. 80 minutes into the game, Maximo Mel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Canalla Fuego's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CD Municipal the free kick. In the 80th minute, Maximo Mel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 81 minutes into the match, Ermengol Cabrales notched a goal, 0-9, to the right of Canalla Fuego's Salvador Bahia. Salvador Bahia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 84th minute of the match, Ermengol Cabrales got a very nice opportunity to score, but Salvador Bahia was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 86 minutes into the match, Canalla Fuego's goal looked a bit too open when Pepe Popeye came free, but Salvador Bahia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 88th minute Bento Arberas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Salvador Bahia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ermengol Cabrales got free with Salvador Bahia in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Salvador Bahia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pepe Popeye in the 95th minute of play. 96 minutes into the match, Canalla Fuego's goalkeeper Salvador Bahia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ermengol Cabrales. CD Municipal's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
