Luís Guilherme Severo hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. White Star Troopers's Ludomil Zaremba shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 20th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Giuseppe Couto but with some difficulty. SAS's Giuseppe Couto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jerzy Jastrowicz in the 22nd minute of play. If Hélder Nóbrega had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Giuseppe Couto made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Jerzy Jastrowicz sent off a good shot on target. Jerzy Jastrowicz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Giuseppe Couto made a huge save. 29 minutes into the match, Jerzy Jastrowicz notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of SAS's Giuseppe Couto. Zbigniew Laba made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Oscar Mendonça in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zbigniew Laba saved White Star Troopers from getting behind. Zbigniew Laba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oscar Mendonça, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. When SAS's Oscar Mendonça in the 45th minute got a chance for a shot 45th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye White Star Troopers's goalie prevented a goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Adam Proca to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes White Star Troopers got a freekick which was hit by Sancho Andres. Oscar Mendonças short, quick shot in the 54thth minute got Zbigniew Laba to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 57 minutes into the game, Hélder Trancoso recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Zbigniew Laba. Hélder Trancoso showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. Zbigniew Laba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hélder Trancoso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. SAS's supporters rose to their feet, but Hélder Trancoso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zbigniew Laba breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 90th minute Hélder Trancoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zbigniew Laba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 94th minute, Jerzy Jastrowicz made a precise shot to the right of Giuseppe Couto. SAS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-2.
