The referee showed Leo Lawrence the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 19th minute, Leo Lawrence hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Anacleto Cresenciano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 29 minutes of play, Aves Negras's Siro Berasko made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Angelino Vimaro was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Conrado Mon during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 32 played minutes Sotelo AFC got a freekick which was hit by Conrado Mon. In the 33rd minute, Siro Berasko ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Angelino Vimaro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. After 36 minutes of play Aves Negras's Leo Lawrence was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Aves Negras getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Leo Lawrence hit a great ball. The supporters of Sotelo AFC booed when Aves Negras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Siro Berasko didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sotelo AFC's Tobias Dantae got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Angelino Vimaro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anacleto Cresenciano, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cecilio Joanes was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Aves Negras booed when Sotelo AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hipolito Lixandro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anacleto Cresenciano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 64 played minutes Aves Negras got a freekick which was hit by Anastasio Maura. In the 69th minute Anacleto Cresenciano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelino Vimaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 71 played minutes Sotelo AFC got a freekick which was hit by Rafael Izel. Angelino Vimaro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Isidro Gomez in the 72nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anacleto Cresenciano in the 74th minute of play forced Sotelo AFC's goalkeeper Angelino Vimaro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aves Negras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Siro Berasko was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
