The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The crowd rose to their feet as Paranhos Ariranha FC's Carlos Alberto de Amaral slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rodriguinho das Neves. That made the score 1-0 after 8 minutes of play. Rodriguinho das Neves was a little too slow when Raimundo de Sousa got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 11th minute. The score was now 2-0. Carlos Alberto de Amaral's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 14thth minute, Rodriguinho das Neves skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 16th minute, Paranhos Ariranha FC's Raimundo de Sousa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rodriguinho das Neves. Rodriguinho das Neves yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. Carlos Alberto de Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rodriguinho Koehler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Gilmar Soeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 25th minute FC VERDE-AMARELO PORCO were awarded a corner. Raimundo Fernandes went to the cornerflag to take it. When Carlos Alberto de Amaral came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Paranhos Ariranha FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Alberto de Amaral couldn't finish the play. After 32 played minutes FC VERDE-AMARELO PORCO got a freekick which was hit by Silvinho Braga. Carlos Alberto de Amarals short, quick shot in the 33rdth minute got Rodriguinho das Neves to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 34th minute, Hamílton Barros made a precise shot to the right of Rodriguinho das Neves. FC VERDE-AMARELO PORCO's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Rodriguinho das Neves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raimundo de Sousa in the 39th minute of the match. In the 41st minute, Paranhos Ariranha FC's Raimundo de Sousa dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 5-0. Rodriguinho das Neves made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carlos Alberto de Amaral in the 45th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carlos Alberto de Amaral was the one to do the kick off. Carlos Alberto de Amaral blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rodriguinho das Neves having to make a save. Rodriguinho Koehler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Gilmar Soeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gilmar Soeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jailson Trigo in the 61st minute of play. After some careless play in the FC VERDE-AMARELO PORCO defense, Carlos Alberto de Amaral kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rodriguinho das Neves. The FC VERDE-AMARELO PORCO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rodriguinho das Neves should have stopped the shot. Rodriguinho das Neves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nilton Alcântara, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Paranhos Ariranha FC's zone, Jailson Trigo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilmar Soeiro came out of the goal and Jailson Trigo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rodriguinho das Neves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Alberto de Amaral in the 69th minute of the match. A collision led to FC VERDE-AMARELO PORCO getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Jailson Trigo hit a great ball. Fausto Fernandez, 72 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Jailson Trigo managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC VERDE-AMARELO PORCO's supporters rose to their feet, but Jailson Trigo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilmar Soeiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rodriguinho Koehler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Gilmar Soeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rodriguinho das Neves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Alberto de Amaral, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. In the 83rd match minute, Paranhos Ariranha FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hamílton Barros to maneuver through the defense. Jailson Trigo might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gilmar Soeiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jailson Trigo ran back to his position shaking his head. Rodriguinho das Neves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nilton Alcântara in the 93rd minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Paranhos Ariranha FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while FC VERDE-AMARELO PORCO had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
