Gerónimo Brito might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Radomil Smolarek. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gerónimo Brito ran back to his position shaking his head. Isidro Camara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Igor Pietras, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Isidro Camara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zbyszek Gregorczyk in the 12th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Magallanes's Francisco Antonio Meléndez got a free kick in the 13th minute. In the 14th minute, Zbyszek Gregorczyk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerónimo Brito in the 17th minute of play forced FC Zarzyk's goalkeeper Radomil Smolarek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Igor Pietras might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Isidro Camara. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Igor Pietras ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 22nd minute Zbyszek Gregorczyk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isidro Camara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 24th minute FC Zarzyk were awarded a corner. Eugeniusz Kasperowicz went to the cornerflag to take it. Tanek Purzycki charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tanek Purzycki the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. FC Zarzyk's Radomil Smolarek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerónimo Brito in the 30th minute of play. Damazy Chwalkiewicz hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. With a little luck, FC Zarzyk's Radomil Smolarek got control of the ball when Gerónimo Brito tried to sneak it across the goal line. Radomil Smolarek came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Magallanes's Elias Longa. But to his dismay, Elias Longa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The audience was convinced that Gerónimo Brito's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Radomil Smolarek was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. 42 minutes into the match, Magallanes's goal looked a bit too open when Dariusz Hryc came free, but Isidro Camara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dariusz Hryc made a kick off. Radomil Smolarek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elias Longa, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Isidro Camara made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Dariusz Hryc sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Magallanes's Francisco Antonio Meléndez got a free kick in the 61st minute. Magallanes made a substitution. Erik Mateluna replaced Francisco Antonio Meléndez. Gerónimo Brito hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Gerónimo Brito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Radomil Smolarek having to interfere. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Magallanes's goalkeeper Isidro Camara, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Elias Longa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elias Longa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Radomil Smolarek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Magallanes's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
