In the 17th minute, Bernardo Piedra ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jon De Marrez was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After some careless play in the ภคгς๏tเς ฬ๏๏๔קєςкєгร Ŧς defense, Gallo Pinto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jon De Marrez. The ภคгς๏tเς ฬ๏๏๔קєςкєгร Ŧς fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jon De Marrez should have stopped the shot. 24 minutes into the match, CS La Libertad's goal looked a bit too open when Ludwig de Pelsmaecker came free, but Rolando Elizondo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wilmer Murillo hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Jon De Marrez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rogelio Guardia in the 37th minute of the match. Andrew Rutgeertss short, quick shot in the 39thth minute got Rolando Elizondo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.

The wind increased when Ludwig de Pelsmaecker made the kick off in the second half. In the 68th minute Ludwig de Pelsmaecker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Elizondo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 71 minutes into the game, Bernardo Piedra was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rolando Elizondo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrew Rutgeerts in the 79th minute of play. 84 minutes into the match, Andrew Rutgeerts had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rolando Elizondo. CS La Libertad's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Andrew Rutgeerts was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind CS La Libertad's goalkeeper Rolando Elizondo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rolando Elizondo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ludwig de Pelsmaecker in the 93rd minute of play. The CS La Libertad players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
