The supporters of Brothers of Mercy booed when M.⑪.M. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Willem-Alexander De Prins didn't get a good kick on the ball. Piet Coekelbergh came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Brothers of Mercy's Svante Pihlgren. But to his dismay, Svante Pihlgren quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. A collision led to M.⑪.M. getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Willem-Alexander De Prins hit a great ball. A hard shot 24 in the game by Svante Pihlgren from a close distance when the talented Piet Coekelbergh managed to make a qualified save. M.⑪.M.'s players were relieved. Karl-Erik Kihlman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axell Waron, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. With a little luck, M.⑪.M.'s Piet Coekelbergh got control of the ball when Svante Pihlgren tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 31st match minute, M.⑪.M. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brain Vansteenbrugge to maneuver through the defense. In the 52ndth minute of the game Mikael Åkesson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but M.⑪.M.'s Piet Coekelbergh was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Benoit Descamps could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Karl-Erik Kihlman made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Joe Van Damme kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Karl-Erik Kihlman. That made the score 2-1 in the 54 minute of play. M.⑪.M.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Svante Pihlgren was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Thanks to some nice moves Thommy Mathy could shoot a difficult shot in the 66th minute, which Karl-Erik Kihlman however easily saved by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joe Van Damme in the 67th minute of play forced Brothers of Mercy's goalkeeper Karl-Erik Kihlman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 96th minute, Axell Waron fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post.
