A collision led to Mesterháza getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Márton Borbély hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bart De Koq in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Máté Orosz saved Mesterháza from getting behind. In the 37th minute, Lajos Majoros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Máté Orosz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eddy Claes's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. In the 44th minute, Bart De Koq left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Purple Talents fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. In the 47thth minute of the game Eddy Claes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mesterháza's Máté Orosz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The supporters of Purple Talents booed when Mesterháza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bánk Katona didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bart De Koq received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Máté Orosz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Purple Talents's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
