The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cido Gerber helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of BES MUDI BANDITS booed when Vila Nova FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cido Gerber didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 7 minutes into the game, when Jordon Staworowski put in a rough tackle. Broderick Maslin had in the 10thth minute some difficulties stopping Serginho Nóbrega's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. A collision led to BES MUDI BANDITS getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Larkin Durbridge hit a great ball. In the 20th minute, Herman Kerville hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 21 minutes, Serginho Nóbrega managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vila Nova FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Serginho Nóbrega was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 23rd match minute, BES MUDI BANDITS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Handley Freeman to maneuver through the defense. In the 25th minute, Rony Gomes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Broderick Maslin was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After 29 played minutes BES MUDI BANDITS got a freekick which was hit by Larkin Durbridge. In the 36th minute, Rony Gomes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Broderick Maslin was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Rony Gomes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cido Gerber made a kick off. Herman Kerville kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. With his leg Broderick Maslin managed to avoid a goal in the 52ndth minute, when Vila Nova FC's Rony Gomes fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 53rd minute, Larkin Durbridge left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The BES MUDI BANDITS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Cacá da Fonseca kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Broderick Maslin came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Vila Nova FC's Rony Gomes. But to his dismay, Rony Gomes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. When Adhemar Freire came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Vila Nova FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adhemar Freire couldn't finish the play. Adhemar Freire blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Broderick Maslin having to make a save. Rony Gomes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Broderick Maslin having to interfere. Adhemar Freire received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Broderick Maslin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 94thth minute of the game Rony Gomes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BES MUDI BANDITS's Broderick Maslin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Bryson Dorrell fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BES MUDI BANDITS's protests and gave Bryson Dorrell a yellow card for diving instead. Bryson Dorrell kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Vila Nova FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
