Flóki Cabezudo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Matías Patrone showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Flóki Cabezudo in the 10th minute of the match. Pedro Pelayo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arquímedes Cesario, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Stellenbosch's Gerke Krupp was substituted for Laureano Gora. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Atilano Quinten made a kick off. With a little luck, Stellenbosch's Pedro Pelayo got control of the ball when Atilano Quinten tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 56th minute, Severo Mingo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 58th minute, Los Delfines's Atilano Quinten ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Pedro Pelayo. Pedro Pelayo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Los Delfines's Oliver Bierhoff was substituted for Arquímedes Cesario. Stellenbosch made a substitution. Fidel Martxelin replaced Severo Mingo. Stellenbosch's Osvaldo Bernat was substituted for Flóki Cabezudo. Los Delfines's Ambrosio Bartolome was substituted for Lu Bin Yuan. Matías Patrone took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fidel Martxelin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mao Zhen made in the 92nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Los Delfines's Benê Møltov. Pedro Pelayo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oliver Bierhoff in the 94th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Fidel Martxelin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Matías Patrone was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. Pedro Pelayo came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by Los Delfines's Oliver Bierhoff. But to his dismay, Oliver Bierhoff quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Los Delfines played a much better game than Stellenbosch and deserved their victory. The Stellenbosch players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
