In the 14th minute Silvio Abadia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mano Hume saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Fermin Martinez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fermin Martinez in the 15th minute of play forced Belgrano de Pibasog's goalkeeper Bernardo Raggio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th minute, Braulio Hibai got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 28th minute, Judas Verón got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bernardo Raggio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Severo Bermudo, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Judas Verón stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Belgrano de Pibasog's goal looked a bit too open when Braulio Hibai came free, but Bernardo Raggio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 65th minute of the game. One of Belgrano de Pibasog:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Utopía Muerta FC:s goal. After some careless play in the Utopía Muerta FC defense, Garcia Morros kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mano Hume. The Utopía Muerta FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mano Hume should have stopped the shot. Utopía Muerta FC's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Belgrano de Pibasog had won, even though Utopía Muerta FC had held more of the ball.
