A sloppy throw-in by Hilario Tonete in the 39th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Bermejo Club's David Hulberto. The Cardo Ruso Cordobés players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Bermejo Club were winning 0-2.

The Bermejo Club supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Bermejo Club would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
