Valério Linhares's late challenge caught a BMB IMOVEIS SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valério Linhares helped the player get up and apologised. In the 14th match minute, Papunhas EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valério Linhares to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Luiz Vides in the 20th minute of play forced Papunhas EC's goalkeeper Ismael Nazario Serre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute, André Luiz Vides got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. BMB IMOVEIS SC's Sérgio de Azevedo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save BMB IMOVEIS SC from getting a goal against them. With an all-out effort, Papunhas EC's Sérgio de Azevedo threw himself towards the right post 30 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Valdemar de Moraes, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 2-0 became the score in the 34th minute when Valdemar de Moraes elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After 37 played minutes Papunhas EC got a freekick which was hit by Agostinho de Carvalho. BMB IMOVEIS SC's Sérgio de Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdemar de Moraes in the 38th minute of play. If Donato Marques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. André Luiz Vides recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The wind increased when André Luiz Vides made the kick off in the second half. If André Luiz Vides had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Valdemar de Moraes in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sérgio de Azevedo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in BMB IMOVEIS SC's zone, Christian Baiano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sérgio de Azevedo came out of the goal and Christian Baiano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sérgio de Azevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valdemar de Moraes, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. The supporters of BMB IMOVEIS SC booed when Papunhas EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcel Pinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 61 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Papunhas EC! In the 64th minute there was a penalty for BMB IMOVEIS SC. Luís Fernando Tavares stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ismael Nazario Serre. 2-1. If Donato Marques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to BMB IMOVEIS SC getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Renan Madureira hit a great ball. Sérgio de Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agostinho de Carvalho in the 73rd minute of the match. Valdemar de Moraes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sérgio de Azevedo having to make a save. Sérgio de Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valdemar de Moraes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Valdemar de Moraes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sérgio de Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valdemar de Moraes in the 82nd minute of the match. Ismael Nazario Serre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Luiz Vides in the 95th minute of play. Papunhas EC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
