Alfredo Stefano might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luiz Fábio Leite. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alfredo Stefano ran back to his position shaking his head. Bin Shevchenko kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Luiz Fábio Leite took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Stefano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 13thth minute of the game Bin Shevchenko who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Castanheiro SC's Wincent Dropinski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 30th play minute Bin Shevchenko came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Wincent Dropinski. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bin Shevchenko in the 33rd minute of play forced Castanheiro SC's goalkeeper Wincent Dropinski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonas Casta charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jonas Casta the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Blumenau Esporte Clube booed when Castanheiro SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonas Casta didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 39th minute Bin Shevchenko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wincent Dropinski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bin Shevchenko was the one to do the kick off. Blumenau Esporte Clube were awarded a corner in the 53th minute after Castanheiro SC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Nildo Dantas took the corner. Nildo Dantas made a great header on Blumenau Esporte Clube's corner, it was just that Castanheiro SC's Wincent Dropinski managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 58th match minute, Castanheiro SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodolfo Sergipano to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Blumenau Esporte Clube booed when Castanheiro SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodolfo Sergipano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luiz Fábio Leite made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jânio Sanches in the 63rd minute of play. Jânio Sanches's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Luiz Fábio Leite firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 68th minute of the match Castanheiro SC got a corner. Blumenau Esporte Clube's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. José Pedro Carneiro ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Castanheiro SC's José Pedro Carneiro to fire away a dangerous shot which Luiz Fábio Leite despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Enrico Orsi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Wincent Dropinski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, Fernando Toscano took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Luiz Fábio Leite to make any attempt to save it. In the 77th match minute, Blumenau Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nildo Dantas to maneuver through the defense. Through an outstanding action, after 78 minutes, Luiz Fábio Leite successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by José Pedro Carneiro during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Castanheiro SC getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. José Pedro Carneiro hit a great ball. Wincent Dropinski came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Blumenau Esporte Clube's Bin Shevchenko. But to his dismay, Bin Shevchenko quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Jânio Sanches kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Luiz Fábio Leite. That made the score 2-2 in the 93 minute of play.
