The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mark Kovalev could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Tiaguinho Correia made a huge save. 7 minutes into the match, Trindade Atlético Club's goal looked a bit too open when Alessandro do Valle came free, but Tiaguinho Correia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 10th minute of the match Trindade Atlético Club got a corner. MarquinhosEC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sílvio Cavalcante ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Sílvio Cavalcante got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Matei Răducu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. With a little luck, Trindade Atlético Club's Tiaguinho Correia got control of the ball when Mark Kovalev tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 15thth minute of the game Dagoberto Dracena who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MarquinhosEC's Matei Răducu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Matei Răducu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dagoberto Dracena in the 22nd minute of play. Tiaguinho Correia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Curt Montes in the 23rd minute of play. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind MarquinhosEC's goalkeeper Matei Răducu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tiaguinho Correia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alessandro do Valle in the 28th minute of play. 33 minutes into the game, Fulgencio Rius cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Matei Răducu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 40 played minutes Trindade Atlético Club got a freekick which was hit by 于竞思. Matei Răducu came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Trindade Atlético Club's Dagoberto Dracena. But to his dismay, Dagoberto Dracena quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dagoberto Dracena made a kick off. Tiaguinho Correia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alessandro do Valle's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dagoberto Dracena in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Matei Răducu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. MarquinhosEC made a substitution. Inácio Freitas replaced Alessandro do Valle. Fulgencio Rius succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-4 in the 79th playminute. In the 84th minute Róbson Couto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matei Răducu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Róbson Couto in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Matei Răducu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Falcão de Barros during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of MarquinhosEC booed when Trindade Atlético Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Falcão de Barros didn't get a good kick on the ball. The MarquinhosEC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Trindade Atlético Club's performance. The match ended with a win for Trindade Atlético Club.
