An unexpectedly hard shot by Serginho Chulapa in the 19th minute of play forced Lobo Guará's goalkeeper Daniel Anaya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Serginho Chulapa notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Lobo Guará's Daniel Anaya. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ezequiel Pereira to make the kick off.
